The Meteorological Department revealed that during 30 Sept.-3 Oct. 2024, the upper part of Thailand will experience unstable weather with thunderstorms before temperatures drop by 1-3 degrees Celsius.
The Meteorological Department forecasts the weather for the next 24 hours. The moderate southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf of Thailand. In addition, there is a low-pressure cell over the northern part of Vietnam. This condition will cause thunderstorms and heavy rain with strong gusts of wind in some areas of the North, Northeast, Central and East. People in the aforementioned areas should be careful of the dangers of thunderstorms, strong gusts of wind and heavy rain that may occur. The waves in the Andaman Sea are moderate with waves approximately 1 meter high. The Gulf of Thailand has waves less than 1 meter. In areas with thunderstorms, waves are higher than 1 meter. Sailors in the aforementioned areas should avoid sailing in areas with thunderstorms.

This is because the high-pressure area or moderate cold air mass from China will spread down to cover the eastern part of the North, the Northeast, and the South China Sea, along with a monsoon trough across the North, lower Northeast, Central, and East.

Southern Region (East Coast): Thunderstorms in 40 percent of the area, mostly in the provinces of Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Songkhla, Yala, Pattani, and Narathiwat. Minimum temperature 24-26 degrees Celsius. Maximum temperature 33-36 degrees Celsius. Southwesterly winds 15-30 km/hr. Waves in the sea are approximately 1 meter high.
