PHNOM PENH, Aug. 14 — Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi. and member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. who traveled to Cambodia They agreed to strategically strengthen mutual trust and build on the long-standing friendship between the two countries.
On Sunday (Aug. 13), Hun Sen made the remarks during a meeting with Hope on a visit of a high-level Chinese delegation. After Cambodia completed the general election. It underscores China's strong support for Cambodia and the strong friendship between the two countries.
Hun Sen said Cambodia's new government will continue to strengthen strategic mutual trust and foster long-standing friendship with China. Cambodia seeks to jointly implement a cooperation consensus. and promote the "Industrial Development Corridor" and the "Fish and Rice Corridor" with China to enhance Cambodia's self-development capabilities.
Wang congratulated the Cambodian People's Party for a landslide victory in the general election. It pointed out that an international panel of observers, comprising representatives from more than 60 countries, unanimously agreed that the election was fair, transparent and lawful. The results of the elections reflect the common will of the people and the flow of the era.
Wang said the Chinese delegation's visit to Cambodia reflects China's full confidence in Cambodia's future and the future of China-Cambodia relations. While Cambodia is walking on a new path.
