His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam in a titah stressed on zero tolerance towards abuse of power and corruption, as well as the importance of upholding business integrity during the execution of all business activities, with focus on cost optimisation while driving companies’ performances.
His Majesty made a titah while chairing the 223rd Board of Directors Meeting of Brunei LNG Sendirian Berhad, BLNG and the 109th Board of Directors Meeting of Brunei Gas Carriers Sendirian Berhad, BGC for the Third Quarter of 2024. The meeting took place at the Prime Minister’s Office building.
Upon arrival, His Majesty was greeted by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohd. Amin Liew bin Abdullah, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy; and Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Mohamad Azmi bin Haji Mohd Hanifah, Deputy Minister
for Energy at the Prime Minister’s Office, in their capacity as members of the BLNG and BGC Board of Directors.
The recitation of Doa was read by Awang Haji Mohammad Izzat Izzuddin bin Begawan Pehin Khatib Dato Paduka Haji Emran, Mosque Affairs Officer. In the titah, His Majesty reiterated that shareholders should continue to explore new investment opportunities and identify new technologies to remain competitive. The meeting was also attended by key stakeholders including Shareholder Directors representing the Government of His Majesty, Shell plc and Mitsubishi Corporation as well as members of the respective leadership teams at BLNG and BGC.
