Floating all over the sea, a school of colorful jellyfish, Trat Province

Come take a boat ride to see millions of colorful jellyfish in front of Ban Klong Son Beach. There are more jellyfish this year than ever before. Come see them before December.

Mr. Somnuk Hongwises, former deputy mayor of Laem Klat Subdistrict Administrative Organization, said that every year at the end of the rainy season and the beginning of the winter season, colored jellyfish will come out to fill the sea. This year, we started to see a large number of colored jellyfish gathering after the rain stopped and when the sea water is clear and the waves are calm.

The reporter traveled to Ban Khlong Son and met Mr. Sanya Kumpli, assistant village headman of Village 6, Ban Khlong Kwang, Laem Klat Subdistrict, Mueang District, Trat Province. He took a local fishing boat to the area where the jellyfish were found. After about 15 minutes, he found a large school of jellyfish swimming along the waves, diving and diving in large groups. Most of them were white and off-white. There were also green, blue, brown, and
white mixed in swimming around beautifully. Using a drone to take high-angle photos, the school of jellyfish was clearly visible and beautiful amidst the sunlight that shone in, which is the natural characteristic of the Trat sea in late rainy season and early winter.

Mr. Sanya said that the colored jellyfish occur every year in the late rainy season and early winter. If the sea water is clear, it will be very beautiful. The colors that occur come from the nature of the sea in each area that is different. Today, millions of jellyfish have appeared. This year, there are more than every year. They can be seen only for 2-3 months. If tourists want to come to see them, they should come in the morning. It will be the most suitable time.
