Over 50 exhibition and sales booths from local and abroad are participating in the Brunei Book Fair 2023 which is taking place at the International Convention Centre in Berakas. With the theme 'Mari Membaca' or Let's Read, the event supports the commitment of the Brunei Language and Literature Bureau in raising awareness on the importance of loving and upholding the Malay language.
Among the participants is the Sultanate of Oman, which aims to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries in the field of culture and introduce various publications of the country. Through the event, it also increases the interest of readers, especially the young generation.
Several activities for children are also held such as the Brunei Traditional Instruments quiz and a meeting session with Sarrah 'Aina, an author who has published nine individual and group books. More than 30 activities are organised throughout the fair for children's participation towards developing a knowledgeable, intelligent and proactive society with today's environment and challenges.
