Maintaining Good Relations with Neighbours

Islam highly prioritises relations and urges its ummah to always live in unity and helping one another. Islam also prohibits enmity and division in living within the family, community, country as well as neighbourly life. In maintaining good relations with the neighbours, noble behaviour should be practised as taught in Islam. The matter was among the contents of the Friday Sermon.

In maintaining relations with the neighbours, one must never hurt their feelings either through speech or even behaviour. This includes in matters pertaining to the cleanliness of the residence's compound and neighbourhood. It should be known that in order to maintain the peace and harmony of the neighbourhood, we must always be sensitive and practise tolerance such as being considerate to the neighbours. Apart from that avoid making noise and holding excessive leisure events until late night that can disturb the neighbours.
