A Myanmar man who brutally murdered his fellow countryman has been arrested after he was planning to hide in Khao Chao, Pran Buri, but his car tire burst and he could not escape. The police were able to track him down immediately. The reason was that he was joking around and they had an argument.
The investigation team of Prachuap Khiri Khan Provincial Police and Ao Noi Police Station arrested Mr. Meua, a Myanmar national, along with a blue, black and gray motorcycle at the entrance of Pran Buri Dam after he committed the murder of a fellow countryman and attempted to escape on his motorcycle, but the tire burst and he could not continue, so he was eventually arrested.
This incident occurred in a rubber plantation, near a rubber mill. The body of a deceased person was found lying on his back. He was identified as Mr. Aruay, 39 years old, a Burmese national. He was not wearing a shirt and was wearing red three-quarter pants. He was lying in a pool of blood next to a pile of rubber. There were cuts on his ne
ck from a sharp object, and there were several cuts on the back of his head and on his neck below his ears. On the deceased’s stomach, there was a hammer holding paper down. When the officers looked at the body, they found a message in Burmese. The translation reads, ‘If he is wrong, if you want to arrest him, call him. He is the one who took the motorcycle.’ Mr. Meua then rode the deceased’s motorcycle.
Pol. Col. Pakphum Ho-yai, Deputy Commander of Prachuap Khiri Khan Provincial Police, gave an interview to reporters that from the investigation, the suspect confessed that he used a hammer to hit the deceased. The reason was that they had an argument and were suspicious that he would be attacked, so he attacked first. After doing so, he felt stressed, so he wrote it down on a piece of paper and placed it on the body. Then he fled to Pran Buri, slept on the side of the road, and was finally arrested. This arrest was resolved quickly within 24 hours after the incident by the mobilization of the arrest team of
officers. Initially, he was charged with intentional murder, illegal entry, and all other related charges before being sent to court tomorrow before noon.
Mr. Tinthe, the father of the deceased, told reporters that he was happy and thanked the Thai police for helping to arrest the perpetrator because he felt relieved. If they had not been arrested, the work would have been difficult because he was worried that the perpetrator would return to the area and hurt his family members and commit the same crime again.
It was reported that the incident occurred when the deceased was joking around about a previous murder of a Burmese family, including women and children. The deceased teased the perpetrator, asking if he had done it. The perpetrator replied that someone like him would not kill women or children. They argued and fought, before the deceased took the opportunity to commit the crime while he was not paying attention.
