The Youth Development Centre in collaboration with the Youth and Sports Department's Belait District Branch, organised the basket weaving basic course as part of the efforts to preserve the art of weaving. The 3-day course was held at the Youth and Sports Department's Belait District Branch.
24 youths and single mothers participated in the workshop. The course held in conjunction with the National Youth Day is hoped to be a platform to generate income and self-sustenance that leads to the production of tourism products.
