1 New Case, 18 Cases Recovered

1 new COVID-19 case has been confirmed yesterday, taking the total cases to 15,363. Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Haji Awang Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar, Minister of Health stated the matter at a media conference on the latest COVID-19 situation yesterday afternoon. Joining the media conference at Dewan Al-Afiah, Ministry of Health was Yang Berhormat Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports.

There is NO additional new case to the existing active clusters and no new cluster detected yesterday. 5 clusters have been closed following no new detected cases for 28 days, namely Medait Enterprise staff house Jangsak Cluster; Kampung Menengah staff house Cluster; 13232 Cluster; Tumasek Construction Project Cluster and Astal Engineering staff house Cluster. Therefore, the current total active clusters are 92 clusters. One new case is still being investigated to determine the source of the infection.

18 cases have recovered yesterday, bringing the total recovered cases to 15,027, while the total active cases are 236 cases. 1 Category 5 case is being treated at the Intensive Care Unit requiring assistance of artificial ventilation and additional heart/lung machine, ECMO. In the past 24 hours, 4,455 samples have been tested for the SARS-Co-V-2 virus, taking the total laboratory tests conducted since January 2020 to 669,888 tests.
