Brunei Darussalam's experiences and practices in strengthening youth engagement as well as empowering young people and mainstreaming youth voices at the national level was shared during the 10th Commonwealth Youth Ministers' Meeting. Themed 'Aiming Higher: Delivering More for Young People in the Commonwealth', the meeting was held on 11th to 15th September 2023 in London, United Kingdom.
The meeting was attended by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Nazmi bin Haji Awang Mohamad, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports. During the meeting, the Minister also highlighted that local youth engagements continue to be carried out through various platforms such as the National Youth Survey, Youth Dialogue, Town Hall Sessions, and National Youth Congress which allow and encourage open dialogues on issues concerning youth between policy makers and the youth. The meeting provided ministers and stakeholders an opportunity to review the policy agenda and priorities agreed upon by Heads of Governments in Rwanda in June 2022.
