One thousand one hundred 72 less fortunate students from 76 schools nationwide received schooling aid from the Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah for this year's schooling session. The presentation of contributions took place this morning at the Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Complex in the capital.
The contributions were presented by Awang Ajman bin Haji Meludin, Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Home Affairs as the member of the Yayasan Aid Review Committee, to the heads of clusters, Schools Department, Ministry of Education. Also present was Dato Paduka Awang Eddie bin Dato Paduka Haji Sunny, Managing Director of Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah.
Every primary school student received a contribution in the form of a coupon worth 73 dollars, while secondary school students received 84 dollar coupons. The contributions are for the students to purchase their school stationery and necessities. It is aimed to alleviate the expenses of the family while preparing the children's school requirements.
