The 2nd flight of Brunei Darussalam intending haj pilgrims left the country yesterday morning using Royal Brunei, RB aircraft, BI4203. 254 intending haj pilgrims including 3 Haj Medical Management Officers left for Madinah at 11 yesterday morning.
Since 9 in the morning, family members and friends were at Brunei International Airport to bid farewell to the intending haj pilgrims. Present at the Brunei International Airport to bid farewell were Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, Minister of Religious Affairs and wife; Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd. Yussof, Second Minisrer of Defence as Chairman of the Perbadanan Tabung Amanah Islam Brunei, TAIB Board of Directors; Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Md. Isham bin Haji Jaafar, Minister of Health and wife and Dato Seri Paduka Doctor Haji Abdul Manaf bin Haji Metussin; Acting Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy.
Also present was Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Bahrom bin Pengiran Haji Bahar, Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs and wife; and His Excellency Emad bin Abdul Aziz Al-Muhanna, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Saudi Arabia to Brunei Darussalam. The Intending Haj Pilgrims from the second flight are using Darussalam Holdings Sendirian Berhad Haj Packages. Meanwhile, the third haj flight is scheduled to depart tomorrow at 3 in the afternoon.
