Three members of the WeCare Association will carry out a humanitarian mission at Syrian refugee camps in Lebanon and Turkey on the 29th of this month and the 10th of January 2020. They are the third delegation since last year under the "Syrian Warm Winter 1.0" Project.
Dayang Nor Aliiyaah binti Awang Haji Mail, WeCare Public Relations Officer said they are collaborating with the Malaysian NGO, Global Peace Malaysia which will help them prepare and buy basic items for the refugees and will start packaging the items in Turkey. The four basic commodities include tents, fuel, food and winter clothes. Dayang Aliiyah added the group has achieved around 30 percent of the targeted two hundred thousand refugees. They also hope everyone will know about the fate of the refugees who actually are not able to voice their pains and their needs. The WeCare association hopes to be that voice and help in any way they can.
The humanitarian mission intends to distribute basic packages for the winter and food. It is organised under the "Syrian Warm Winter 2.0, SWW 2.0" project. The fund for buying the basic items for the winter needs is opened to the public from the 6th of November 2019 to 31st January next year. Members of the public who wish to donate can visit Instagram, wecare.bn and contact the WeCare hotline 8328316 or 8328319.
