30th Sea Games: Polo Event

The son and daughter of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Mateen and Her Royal Highness Princess 'Azemah Ni'matul Bolkiah, yesterday afternoon participated with the Brunei Darussalam Polo Team in a match against the Malaysian Polo team at the 30th Southeast Asia Games. The match took place at the Inigo Zobel Polo Field in the Philippines.

Present to watch the match was His Royal Highness Prince Haji Sufri Bolkiah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, President of the Brunei Darussalam National Olympic Council. Also in attendance was His Royal Highness Prince Haji Jefri Bolkiah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien.

The match was won by the Malaysian Polo Team 8 to 5 point 5 in 4 chukkas. His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Mateen scored a goal in the third chukka.

With the match result, the national polo team will go up against the Indonesia team for the match to determine the bronze medal winner. Host country, Philippines will go up against Malaysia for the gold medal match.
