There are other opportunities to build a more integrated ASEAN Community, including strengthening cooperation in Education by the facilitation of Student Exchange Programmes between institutions in ASEAN Member States to build friendship and help youths in understanding the diversity within the region; building on initiatives that will prepare ASEAN better for the digital future combined with the enhanced intra-ASEAN travel and connectivity by strengthening telecommunications in the region, especially in the area of mobile data roaming.

His Majesty also believes that this would greatly help businesses as well as travellers in ASEAN, and hopes that ASEAN leaders could give the Ministers strong political encouragement for its timely realisation, which would directly benefit the ASEAN people. And finally, recognising that addressing collective challenges can unify the ASEAN people, who must be given the opportunity to help one another, especially as the impact of climate change remains a great concern, and given the increased frequency of natural disasters in Southeast Asia.
