Bandar seri begawan: 28 participants competed in the 37th Japanese Speech Contest co-organised by the Embassy of Japan in Brunei Darussalam, the Lifelong Learning Centre, and the Language Centre of Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD). Supported by Royal Brunei Airlines and the Japan Foundation, the contest took place at UBD on the morning of March 18th.
According to Radio Television Brunei, His Excellency Kikuta Yutaka, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Brunei Darussalam, delivered a speech emphasizing that the contest aimed to encourage learners of the Japanese language to showcase their language proficiency and public speaking skills. The event featured two competitive categories: the Japanese speech and the English group presentation about Japan.
