In conjunction with this year's haj season, 380 cows and buffaloes are brought in especially by Mulaut Abbattoir Sendirian Berhad to fulfil the requests of the public specifically the muslim ummah who will perform the rites of sacrifice. The supply will be brought in from the Northern Territory, Australia and has arrived last week.
The public wishing to perform the rite of sacrifice this year, can obtain the form from the Mulaut meat shop and also from Mulaut Abattoir Sendirian Berhad sales office in Jalan Kilanas-Mulaut. Reservations and payment can be made at the office's counter as of this Wednesday until next Tuesday.
On the first day, the counter will be opened from 7 in the morning until 4.30 in the afternoon while on the following days it will be opened from 8 in the morning until 4.30 in the afternoon. The company will carry out the slaughtering of the sacrificial animals over 4 days starting from the morning of hari raya korban or feast of sacrifice until the third tasyrik day.
The price for sacrificial cows and buffaloes is $5.90 cents per kilogramme. The company also provides services for qurban and Aqiqah individually or as a part for cows and buffaloes, of which anyone wishing to perform the rite of sacrifice or aqiqah individually has been set at $350 per person or per part.
