The Minister of Education explained that all adolescents aged between 12 and 17 in Brunei Darussalam are eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine, which is a vaccine approved in the country for use by adolescents aged 12 and above. The program will begin on MONDAY, the 8th of NOVEMBER 2021 for students aged between 12 and 17 at schools and educational institutions under the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Religious Affairs and private schools including international schools.
According to Yang Berhormat, 38,201 students under the Ministry of Education and Ministry Religious Affairs aged 12 to 17 will undergo the programme. The vaccination programme will take place at all districts. For the Brunei Muara District, the programme will be carried out at four locations namely, the Indoor Stadium, Universiti Brunei Darussalam, MRS Bolkiah, Royal Brunei Armed Forces and Jubli Emas Health Centre, Bunut. While in the Tutong District, the programme will be held at the Dewan Seri Kenangan, Tutong Town, Learning Centre, Suri Seri Begawan Hospital and Panaga Health Clinic for Belait District and Belalong Community Hall, Bangar Town for the Temburong District.
