441 New Cases, 61 Cases Recovered

441 new COVID-19 cases were confirmed yesterday, bringing the total cases to 18,845. Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Haji Awang Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar, Minister of Health informed the new cases at a Media Conference on the Latest COVID-19 Situation in Brunei Darussalam. The media conference which took place at Dewan Al-Afiah, Ministry of Health was joined by Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia Doktor Haji Awang Abu Bakar bin Haji Apong, Minister of Home Affairs.

Of the total new cases, 440 are local cases and 1 import case. Among the cases being treated at the National Isolation Centre, four cases are in Category 4, requiring oxygen assistance and under close monitoring. 61 cases have recovered today, bringing the total number of recovered cases in Brunei Darussalam to 16,290 cases and the total active cases are 2,453 cases. Meanwhile, the bed occupancy rate in isolation centres nationwide is 32.6 percent.

Meanwhile, there are 60 active clusters currently under the Ministry of Health’s monitoring, of which no new clusters involving business premises or public places have been detected today.
