47 New COVID-19 Cases

47 new COVID-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking the country’s total COVID-19 cases to 15,797.

The Ministry of Health in its press release stated that out of the new cases, 31 are local while the 16 others are imported cases. Meanwhile, 4,094 lab tests were carried out in the past 24 hours, with the rate of positive cases at point 1.15 percent.

Meanwhile, there are 309 active cases after 5 cases recovered, bringing the total recovered cases to 15,386. The bed occupancy rate in isolation centres nationwide is 8.4 percent.

As of the 12th of January 2022, 94.6 percent of the total population have received at least 1 dose, 93.7 percent have received 2 doses, and 31 percent have received 3 doses of the vaccine.
