47th MTWG Meeting

The 47th ASEAN Maritime Transport Working Group, MTWG commenced on 17th September 2024. This year's meeting aims to drive significant changes across Brunei Darussalam and ASEAN by improving regional maritime cooperation, optimising port operations, and enhancing port security, which will ultimately support robust economic growth. In his Opening Remarks, Engineer Awang Haji Mohammad Nazri bin Haji Mohammad Yusof, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications emphasised the crucial role of maritime connectivity in driving economic growth throughout the region. The 47th MTWG meeting was chaired by Dayang Salmaya Rahayu binti Salleh, Assistant Chief Executive of the Maritime and Port Authority of Brunei Darussalam, MPABD.
