52% of the Population has received at least 1 Dose of Vaccine

During the media conference, the Minister of Health explained that to date, the total number of COVID-19 vaccinations in Brunei Darussalam is 371,204 doses.

This means that 52 percent of the population in Brunei Darussalam has received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and 29.8 percent of the population has received a complete COVID-19 vaccine injection. Of these, a total of 36,470 senior citizens or 80.7 percent had received at least one dose and 19,603 senior citizens or 43.3 percent had received complete COVID-19 vaccine injections. So far, the number of vaccine injections among pregnant women is 2,478 people, which is 70 percent of pregnant women have received at least one dose of vaccine. Furthermore, a total of 1,873 breastfeeding mothers have received at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine. Pregnant women have a higher risk of COVID-19 infection and complications than non-pregnant women. Yang Berhormat also advised pregnant women to register at the Maternal Health Clinic to get the vaccination appointment or to walk in at vaccination centres in all districts to get the COVID-19 vaccine.
