Brunei Darussalam and Malaysia’s relations have grown from strength to strength both at the government to government and people to people levels. The two nations share many things in common and have enjoyed close ties, be it at the bilateral, ASEAN, regional and at the multilateral fora. This was said by Mrs. Rafedah binti Abdul Aziz, Charge d’Affaires of Malaysian High Commission in Brunei Darussalam during the reception of the 61st Anniversary of the Malaysia National Day and 55th Anniversary of Malaysia Day 2018, night of 10th October.
Representing His Majesty’s Government at the reception was Yang Berhormat Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin, the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports and wife. In her speech, Mrs. Rafedah also said that great strides have been made between Brunei Darussalam and Malaysia in the form of Exchange of Letters and Memorandum of Understanding on a wide range of bilateral issues. She added, the Annual Leaders Consultation (ALC) held alternately in Bandar Seri Begawan and Malaysia, is the highest level mechanism to deliberate on bilateral and current issues.
