775 New Cases, 1,919 Cases Recovered

8 COVID-19 cases are in Category Four, while 3 cases are in Category Five. Meanwhile, 1 case had passed away and is not categorised as death due to COVID-19. Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Haji Awang Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar, Minister of Health informed the matter during the Media Conference on the Latest COVID-19 situation held at Dewan Al- Afiah, Ministry of Health.

The Minister of Health added that 775 new cases were reported bringing the total cases to 129,081 cases. Of the new cases, 627 were ART test results that were uploaded to the BruHealth app while 148 were from 1,965 RT-PCR lab tests carried out within 24 hours.

Meanwhile, 1,919 cases have recovered bringing the total number of recovered cases to 118,980 while the total number of active cases was 9,901.

The bed occupancy rate in isolation centres nationwide is 4.2 percent whereas 155 active cases are receiving treatment in isolation centres and hospitals, while 9,746 positive cases are currently undergoing home isolation. As of 23rd of March 2022, 60.3 percent of the country’s total population have received three doses of the vaccine.

For the movement restrictions that were carried out from 12 midnight until 4 in the morning, 4 violations of the directive nationwide were issued with compound fines, in which three of it were violations of the directive to stay at home.
