Several key issues were discussed during the 80th ASEAN Committee on Science, Technology and Innovation, ASEAN COSTI Meeting, including the Status of the Science, Technology and Innovation Fund, initiatives for the ASEAN Science, Technology and Innovation Action Plan, implementation of COSTI 2021 annual priorities including the annual priority agreement COSTI 2022. The meeting also discussed the support of Science, Technology and Innovation Industry, STI education framework, 4.0 and the agreement on the 81st COSTI Meeting to be hosted and chaired by Viet Nam.
The virtual meeting held on the 12th to 13th of October 2021 was joined by Mohammad Nazri bin Haji Mohammad Yusof, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications. The meeting was chaired by His Excellency Professor Sirirurg Songsivilai, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, Thailand.
During the meeting, Doctor Jimmy Lim Chee Ming from Universiti Brunei Darussalam also presented the report of the 11th STI Committee Advisory Board Meeting.
