A 60 Minute with Al-Quran

To enliven World Book Day celebration which is held every 23rd of April annually, the Language and Literature Bureau will hold a 60 Minute with Al-Quran Programme. The programme aims to encourage reading culture, apart from reaping the blessings and multiplied rewards in the month of Ramadhan. The programme will be held on 23rd April starting at 9 in the morning virtually. Government and non-government officials, associations, institutions of higher learning, schools and the public are welcome to participate in the programme.

In an interview, Dayang Fatin Nadhirah Binti Haji Ariffin, A Library Officer said the programme will begin with a 20-minute talk and will be followed by the recitation of the Quran. 30 groups will be highlighted throughout the 60 minutes event. Each group will be allocated at least 2 minutes to perform their readings. Meanwhile, participants can continue their own reading until the end of the 60-minute period. Public can read the Quran in groups or alone no matter at home, at school, in the office or anywhere. They can share photos while participating in the programme to social media with the #QuranHourBN.
