As per the Ministry of Health’s Press Conference on the 15th of November 2021 on the administration of the third dose for frontliners and those who have received their second dose in May 2021, the Ministry of Health will proceed to the next phase which is the administration of the third dose of the vaccine for individuals aged 50 and above and have completed two doses of vaccination starting, FRIDAY, 26th of November 2021.
The Minister of Health said that for Sinopharm, 3 months after the second dose; and for AstraZeneca, Moderna and Pfizer are 5 to 6 months after the second dose. The administration of the third dose is on a walk-in basis at any of the vaccination centres. Although the third dose is not mandatory, the public is encouraged to get it to ensure maximum protection can be obtained, especially for those with chronic diseases. Meanwhile, during the ”Operasi Peralihan’ that was carried out from 10 at night until 4 in the morning nationwide, there were no violations of the directive.
