Afternoon Tea Reception for His Royal Highness’ 44th Birthday Celebration

His Royal Highness Prince General Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, the Crown Prince; Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office; and General of Royal Brunei Armed Forces, RBAF, yesterday afternoon graced an Afternoon Tea Reception in conjunction with His Royal Highness' 44th Birthday Anniversary organised by the Ministry of Defence and the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, RBAF. The function took place at the Bolkiah Garrison Officer's Mess.

Upon arrival at the Bolkiah Garrison Officers Mess, His Royal Highness was greeted by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Second Minister of Defence and Major General Pengiran Dato Seri Pahlawan Aminan bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud, Commander of the RBAF. Also in attendance was His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Malik ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah.

At the function, His Royal Highness received the junjung ziarah and got-together with officers and staff of the RBAF as well as the newly commissioned officers who received awards of excellence from the 16th Intake of the RBAF Officer Cadet School.

His Royal Highness was then presented a photo album entitled 'Sejambak Ristaan 11' containing a collection of commemorative photos on His Royal Highness' visit to the Ministry of Defence and the RBAF.

His Royal highness the Crown Prince was then presented with a birthday cake and also received a pesambah presented by RBAF officers. The pesambah was a set of electronic equipment and personal accessories comprising of the latest Apple products namely the 27 inch iMac, iPhone X and Apple Watch Series 3, which came out in 2017. The combination of the gadgets were named Miftah Al-Majd which means the key of gloriousness which is one of the keys of current technological progress in the daily routine.

To bless the ceremony, the doa kesyukuran was read by Commander Haji Ainolnizam bin Haji Ibrahim, Head of RBAF Religious Department, Royal Brunei Navy.

Before leaving the Bolkiah Garrison Officers Mess, His Royal Highness received the junjung ziarah from officers and staff at the function after signing the visit parchment.

His Royal Highness was born on the 17th of February 1974 at Istana Darul Hana. The bestowal of the rank of RBAF General on 25th March 2004, strengthened His Royal Highness's commitment in matters related to the forces. His Royal Highness is always aware of current developments and the welfare affairs of RBAF personnel as well as plays an important role in elevating the image of the RBAF.
