In conjunction with the 11th Farmers, Livestock Breeders and Fishermen’s Day, the Department of Agriculture and Agri-Food held a series of virtual agriculture seminars, which will be held every Saturday. The seminar aimed to be an effective platform to further enhance collaboration and brainstorming towards efforts to increase production and strengthen food security in the country.
The first series of the seminar was held with the theme “Agriculture in Life”. The seminar among others discussed the importance of agriculture in life either from an Islamic perspective; or businesses that contribute to the national economy. The seminar will continue on the 13th of November 2021 with the theme “Youth involvement in agriculture”. The public wishing to participate in the seminar can browse the Zoom platform or LIVE Instagram ‘@agriculture.gov.bn’, starting at 9 in the morning.
