Auxiliary Police Officers Passing Out Parade

The existence of an effective and neutral law enforcement mechanism is an important element in a country's strong criminal justice system. A part of the Royal Brunei Police Force's function in maintaining the country's peace, tranquillity and well-being is important to be assimilated, practiced and implemented.

Yang Amat Mulia Senior Superintendent of Police Pengiran Anak Haji Mohammad Saifullah bin Pengiran Indera Setia Diraja Sahibul Karib Pengiran Anak Haji Idris, Acting Director of Operations, Royal Brunei Police Force underscored the importance in his speech at the Passing Out Parade for Squad 1 and 2 Men's Auxiliary Police Officers, APO recruits 2016 this morning.

Yang Amat Mulia also stressed for police personnel to carry out various roles, regardless of Department or Formation of service location and at the same time, are still required to provide high level policing services, even though the duties and society requirements are ever increasing. Yang Amat Mulia added, a neutral and effective law enforcement mechanism can only be achieved with an efficient and trustworthy police force, whereby the trust gained is not through words or ideas but with action and results. Therefore, the importance of integrity cannot be stressed upon enough. The Royal Brunei Police Force is currently taking a strict non-tolerant stand against personnel who are involved in criminal, corruption and abuse of power activities.

62 APO Squad 1 and 2/2016 male recruits completed their training after undergoing mental, physical and spiritual training before they begin their duties as trained police officers who are responsible in responding to the call of the society, religion and country. APO recruit Muhammad Hafizuddin bin Mardalilani was selected as the best recruit in all fields while APO Recruit Hairie anak Tuah was the best recruit in legal and policing duties. APO Recruit Nazmi bin Jalani was selected as best recruit in drills and outdoor training.
