The practice of conducting tadarus ceremonies throughout Ramadhan is to seek multifold blessings from Allah Subhanahu Wata’ala. Other than at mosques, suraus and religious halls, it is also in private homes.
In Tutong District, the Kampung Kiudang Mungkom New Converts Welfare Body, BASKIM also held house to house tadarus activities as BASKIM’s annual activity in glorifying the holy month of Ramadhan.
The practise of tadarus Al-Quran from house to house aimed to provide guidance to the new converts in bringing themselves closer to Allah Subhanahu Wata’ala. It also plays a role in strengthening relations among the new converts and the village residents.
Several new converts expressed their gratitude and utilise such programmes as opportunities to improve and refine the quality of Al-Quran reading.
