Beach Clean-Up and Turtle Hatchery Project Ground-Breaking Ceremony Held at Meragang Beach

Meragang beach: Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah binti Pengiran Haji Salleh Ab-Rahaman participated in a beach clean-up and Ground-Breaking Ceremony for the Turtle Hatchery Project at Meragang Beach. The event took place in conjunction with the Brunei Ocean Week and the Brunei Mid-Year Conference and Exhibition. Her Royal Highness was accompanied by her children: Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Muda 'Abdul Muntaqim, Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Anak Muneerah Madhul Bolkiah, Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Muda Muhammad Aiman, and Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Anak Faathimah Az-Zahraa' Raaihanul Bolkiah.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the beach clean-up at Meragang Beach was themed 'Protecting Brunei's Beaches, One Clean-Up at a Time', and aimed to motivate more individuals to engage in activities that safeguard the country's coastal and marine environment. Her Royal Highness also attended the Ground-Breaking Ceremony for the Turtle Hatchery Project. The event, organised by the Poni Foundation with support from Poni Group and Baiduri Bank, signified the commencement of on-site work for a project focused on turtle protection and the preservation of coastal areas. Awang Haji Afif Daraina bin Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Awang Haji Badaruddin, Acting Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, was also in attendance.
