A short film titled ‘Langkah’ produced by Q Fikri was awarded as the Best Islamic Short Film in the Brunei Islamic Film Festival. The Award Presentation Ceremony took place last night at the Mahakarya Institute of the Arts Asia, Plaza Athirah.
The award presentation was officiated by Yang Berhormat Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports. The winner received a cheque amounting to $1,500. This year’s festival began with a symposium and workshop dedicated to exploring the existence of the Islamic Film Genre in Brunei Darussalam. Meanwhile, the film titled ‘Hati-Hati Dengan Mata’ by Muhammad Haziq Aniq bin Hanip received the Jury Award.
