In efforts to expand the Muslimah fashion business by local designers, in line with the government’s wish to produce visionary youths that can contribute to the economy, the Brunei Muslimah Fashion designers (BIFASH) has organised the Brunei Islamic Fashion Week.
The event was launched by Datin Paduka Hajah Adina binti Othman, the Deputy Minister of Culture Youth and Sports yesterday at the Centrepoint Hotel in Gadong.
Dayang Mia Suria, the founder of BIFASH, in her welcoming remarks, expressed hope that the event can leave an impact to encourage muslimah in the country to wear the hijab. It is open until this Sunday from 10am until 9pm. The public also have a chance to listen to a special talk on Muslimah attire which will be held today at 4pm.
