BIMP-EAGA Entrepreneurship Camp

Brunei Darussalam requires its people to embrace an entrepreneurial mindset towards the BIMP-EAGA efforts to shift economic activities from resource extraction to higher levels of processing and value added production. According to the Minister of Education, this can only be achieved through a sustainable and a formidable entrepreneurial education ecosystem. Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Hamzah bin Haji Sulaiman stated the matter during the opening ceremony of a 3-day BIMP- EAGA Entrepreneurship Camp held virtually, yesterday morning.

The BIMP-EAGA Entrepreneurship Camp is the first of its kind to equip the participants with the skills, knowledge and necessary tools to develop and create their entrepreneurial path towards generating their own form of employment. With the theme ‘Entrepreneurship in the era of COVID-19’, the camp is participated by 553 participants comprising students, instructors and professionals from BIMP-EAGA member states in order to gain the necessary skills and training to develop and generate new business ideas. Also participating was Datin Seri Paduka Dr. Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Mohammad Salleh, Deputy Minister of Education.
