Boosting Tourism Sector

The country’s tourism sector recorded an increase in the arrival of international tourists since travel restrictions were eased in phases, including cross-borders activities that recommenced in August this year. According to the Tourism Development Department, Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism, hotels and tourist accommodations as well as tourism service providers in the country also began to receive bookings and visits not only from local residents, but also from foreign tourists.

 

The rate of room reservations by international tourists in 15 hotels in the country as a whole has increased from 8,271 reservations to 12,406 reservations, which is an increase of 50 percent from August to September this year. Meanwhile, more than 100 tourists from the Republic of Korea who arrived in this country last night are very excited to know the uniqueness and attractions found in the country.

 

The Tourism Development Department has been taking several measures to further promoting domestic tourism and ensure a sustainable and resilient tourism income.
