Networking sessions are one such opportunity for various stakeholders to come together and engage with each other towards building a conducive, pro-business, and pro - investment ecosystem in the country. This is putting into practice the whole-of -nation approach in nurturing and growing the business ecosystem which requires a healthy and cooperative collaboration between the government and private sectors. This was said by the Yang Berhormat Dato Paduka Doktor Awang Haji Mat Suny bin Haji Mohd. Hussein, Minister of Energy and Industry at the Borneo Bulletin Yearbook 2018 Networking Session yesterday afternoon.
Yang Berhormat Dato Paduka Awang Haji Mat Suny said they need to do more in ensuring the improvements recorded by Brunei Darussalam in the World Bank's Doing Business Report over the past three years are reflected and felt on the ground, particularly by Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises, MSMEs.
Therefore, Yang Berhormat urged businesses to work together with DARe and the Ease of Doing Business Secretariat which are the forefront of socializing business-related initiatives, either through the BusinessBN Platform that offers a one-stop portal for government reforms and resources linked to business processes or through the BizBrunei media platform that highlights the growth of local MSMEs.
