The welfare and well-being of People with Different Disabilities, OKU, shouldn't be ignored, especially in the upcoming Syawal. Late yesterday afternoon, the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports through the Community Development Department and Syarikat YMRM held the Breaking of Fast ceremony with pupils and trainees of the Pusat Bahagia in the Brunei Muara District as well as parents and guardians. The ceremony was held at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports in Berakas.
156 pupils and trainees of the centre received donations in the form of Hari Raya green packets collected from the wives group of Cabinet Ministers, Deputy Minister, Permanent Secretary, Deputy Permanent Secretary and Allied members. The donations were presented by Yang Berhormat (Retired) Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin, the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports and wife. While souvenirs and Hari Raya green packet from Syarikat YMRM were handed over by its Chairman, Awang Ramesh Jiwatram Bhawani.
Earlier, the reading of tahlil was led by Awangku Md Syukri bin Pengiran Damit, a pupil of OKU 'Syndrome Down' from Pusat Bahagia in Brunei Muara. Also present was Datin Paduka Doctor Hajah Norlila binti Dato Paduka Haji Abdul Jalil, the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.
