To disseminate the Acts that control the issue of stray buffaloes in the country, a briefing was held yesterday morning, organised by the Department of Agriculture and Agrifood with the cooperation of the Legal and Compliance Division, Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism as well as the Royal Brunei Police Force. The briefing on the Buffaloes Act and Miscellaneous Offences Act took place at Rimba Horticulture Centre in Gadong.
The briefing was delivered by Haji Afif Daraina bin Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin, Deputy Senior Legal Counsel and Head of Legal and Compliance Section, Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism, and Deputy Superintendent of Police Pengiran Khairul Hakimin bin Pengiran Haji Kamaluddin, Criminal Investigation Officer, Brunei Muara Police District. Over 100 participants comprising livestock, crop and paddy operators, village heads as well as offices and staff of the Department Agriculture and Agrifood attended the briefing.
