Briefing on the Exit and Entry Charges Order 2020

Starting the 1st of August 2020, the Exit and Entry Charges Order will be imposed.  However, Prohibition for citizens and residents of Brunei Darussalam to exit the country is still maintained as advised by the Ministry of Health following the COVID-19 pandemic.  To disseminate information on the Order’s implementation, the briefing was held yesterday morning at the Dewan Teater of the Ministry of Finance and Economy.

 

The briefing was delivered by Dayang Suraya binti Haji Jaidin, Permanent Secretary for Performance and Corporate at the Ministry of Finance and Economy. The briefing among others explained the implementation of charges to coordinate the fees and charges that have been imposed at the moment for people who leave or enter Brunei Darussalam by air and sea.

 

Those who intend to travel out or enter the country through land control posts checkpoints must register and submit an application through the Exit and Entry System, EES, Royal Customs and Excise Department through login.bdnsw.gov.bn/ees.  Steps for application are similar to Vehicle Entry-Exit System, VES that has been implemented before by Royal Customs and Excise Department.
