Ha noi: His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, expressed that the bilateral relations between Brunei Darussalam and the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam remain strong, with notable advancements in trade, energy, and people-to-people exchanges since the establishment of the Comprehensive Partnership in 2019. His Majesty highlighted these points during a bilateral meeting with His Excellency Luong Cuong, President of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam, as part of his State Visit.
According to Radio Television Brunei, His Majesty began the State Visit with a State Welcoming Ceremony at the Presidential Palace in Ha Noi, accompanied by His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Mateen. Upon arrival, His Majesty was greeted by the Vietnamese President. The ceremony included the playing of the national anthems of both nations, following which His Majesty and His Excellency inspected the Guard of Honour.
During the visit, His Majesty was introduced to state dignitaries from Viet Nam and Heads of Representatives from ASEAN Member States in Viet Nam, while the Vietnamese President was introduced to members of the Brunei Darussalam delegation. His Majesty expressed optimism about further enhancing the partnership between the two countries in the upcoming year.
