Bandar seri begawan: The Brunei Muara District Office, through its Licensing and Enforcement Division, conducted a coordinated operation, 'Operasi Sepadu,' to tackle the issue of abandoned vehicles. This operation was carried out in collaboration with the Land Transport Department and several Non-Governmental Organisations.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the operation targeted the area around the Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mosque in Kampung Bolkiah. The inspection revealed three vehicles that had been abandoned for an extended period. Enforcement actions were taken under the Minor Offences Act, Chapter 30, Section 12(1)(f)(i). This legislation addresses the offence of leaving or abandoning a vehicle in a public place, which can cause disturbance, danger, or affect cleanliness.
