All Brunei citizens are confirmed safe in the United Kingdom following a blast incident at the Manchester near northwest England, last night. The matter was confirmed by His Excellency Major General (Retired) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin, the High Commissioner of Brunei Darussalam to the United Kingdom, when contacted by RTB's News Centre.
Based on information and observation from the High Commission and the Students Unit, all Brunei students and officials as well as their family members who are in the United Kingdom are safe and not involved in the incident. The Students Unit at the Brunei High Commission will continue to monitor the whereabouts and safety of the Brunei students and citizens in the United Kingdom. The Brunei High Commission also advised Brunei Darussalam citizens who are in the United Kingdom and London in particular to be always cautious and careful as well as avoid from visiting the affected areas.
