Bandar seri begawan: Brunei Gas Carriers, Brunei Shell Marketing, and Royal Brunei Airlines have come together to enhance the country’s sustainability and community well-being by organizing a tree planting event at the Jalan Stadium Recreational Park on the morning of November 6th. The collaborative effort underscores the commitment of these major companies to environmental conservation and community engagement.
According to Radio Television Brunei, a total of 55 ornamental trees were planted during the event. This initiative is aimed at revitalizing community spaces and bringing greenery closer to where residents live, connect, and stay active. The tree planting effort is in alignment with the goals of Wawasan Brunei 2035 and the Brunei Climate Change Policy and Strategy, which focus on sustainable development and environmental stewardship.
The event also coincided with the celebration of World Ozone Day and marked the 55th anniversary of the renaming of Bandar Seri Begawan, highlighting the significance of the occasion for both environmental and historical reasons.
