Brunei Darussalam is still in the Northeast Monsoon season where active weather condition usually occurs in the afternoon and at night until early morning. Active weather condition is forecast starting tonight until 13th of February 2022 due to active development of rain clouds over our country.
Occasional showers and thundershowers are expected, with wind gust up to 45 kilometres per hour during or near heavy showers. Over Brunei waters, sea state is generally slight and may reach moderate state up to 1.2 metres. There is a high risk of flash floods especially at low-lying and flood prone areas as well as near the river banks during continuous heavy rain that may last for more than 1 hour and also during high tide. Risk of landslide and falling trees are also expected during showers and gusty condition. Public, road users and fishermen are advised to always be up to date with the latest weather forecast, advisory and warning issued by Brunei Darussalam Meteorological Department, and to take necessary actions to ensure the safety of all.
