In the motions of vote of thanks from persons who have achieved distinction stressed on the need for attention in diversifying contributions to the country's economy. This includes exploring the agriculture sector involving skilled youths, instilling leadership characteristics amongst youths with the objective of giving impact to the Gross Domestic Product, GDP.
Yang Berhormat Dayang Siti Rozaimeriyanti binti Dato Seri Laila Jasa Awang Haji Abdul Rahman in her motion of vote of thanks said that it is very important for the country to continue to be active in diversifying the economy in order to enhance GDP growth and not to solely depend on oil and gas resources. She added that the country should showcase local products overseas such as to ASEAN member nations initially, and stakeholder government agencies should also support and assist entrepreneurs to develop further.
Yang Berhormat Awang Iswandy bin Ahmad, in his motion of vote of thanks, mentioned that the country should involve qualified and skilled youths who wish to make changes and contribute to the country as well as explore the agriculture sector with more efficient technology such as automation, vertical farming, hydroponics, aquaponics and biotechnology as the closest example in the education sector.
In her motion of vote of thanks, Yang Berhormat Dayang Khairunnisa binti Awang Haji Ash'ari said that exposure at a young age is important in instilling leadership characteristics in locals. Aside from that, private companies also have a role in ensuring career development to enable the local workforce to grow. She also fully supported the issue of cleanliness raised as well as the enforcement laws and regulations on it. She added that the country's Minor Offences Act and Tobacco Act should not be taken lightly as it can seriously impact all parties.
Yang Berhormat Awang Haji Abdul Hamid @ Sabli bin Haji Arsad in his motion of vote of thanks, stressed that government agencies should also be thorough in preparing a platform to receive the yields from agricultural resources so that it is not wasted and in the end disappears in the blink of an eye. Apart from that, marketing locally can also give a more sustainable impact to the GDP and has the potential for overseas export. With that, the people should work together in making a success of agricultural products and sustaining the fruits and plants yields for the country's future.
In her motion, Yang Berhormat Dayang Nik Hafimi binti Abdul Haadii said that economic development growth and job opportunities should be in line with each other. She proposed that the country has long placed importance on local business development, LBD, and that this may be the time to change our understanding to an updated version of local business development.
Yang Berhormat Awang Haji Umarali bin Esung in his motion said, towards establishing a government of integrity, with a highly civilised society, based on the Malay Islamic Monarchy, MIB concept, therefore the implementation of the laws and regulations should always look on its suitability and movement with fairness and responsibility.
