Bandar seri begawan: Brunei Darussalam’s ongoing initiatives under the Brunei Social Blueprint and Wawasan Brunei 2035 reflected the nation’s long-term commitment to building a secure and sustainable future for all citizens. The Permanent Secretary for Security and Welfare at the Ministry of Home Affairs stated this at the Opening Ceremony of the 42nd ASEAN Social Security Association, ASSA Board Meeting. Hosted by the Employee Trust Fund, TAP, the meeting took place at a hotel in Gadong.
According to Radio Television Brunei, Awang Salminan bin Haji Burut, as a member of TAP’s Board of Directors, also highlighted the importance of strengthening regional collaboration to ensure inclusive and resilient social protection systems. Over 160 delegates representing ASSA member institutions and international organisations attended the meeting. The two-day event among others aims to underscore the importance of unity and knowledge-sharing among ASEAN’s social security institutions.
