Brunei Sultan Expresses Gratitude for Nation’s Safety in 1448 Hijrah New Year Speech

Bandar seri begawan: His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei, addressed the nation with a titah, emphasizing the country's safety and divine protection in conjunction with the 1448 Hijrah New Year. His Majesty expressed confidence that Brunei can maintain its safety without experiencing natural disasters that could disrupt the lives of its citizens. He attributed this peace to the blessings of the nation, nurtured through supplications, zikir, and the recitation of the Al-Qur'an.

According to Radio Television Brunei, His Majesty's message was broadcasted nationwide, urging the Muslim ummah to express gratitude with pure intentions solely for Allah. He highlighted the importance of being thankful for the opportunity to live long enough to welcome and celebrate the Hijrah New Year once again. His Majesty's titah serves as a reminder to the citizens of Brunei to continue their devotion and prayers, which he believes are vital in ensuring the ongoing safety and prosperity of the nation.
