Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah binti Pengiran Haji Salleh Ab Rahaman, watched the Brunei Swimming Championship for 7 to 9 Years Old Age Group yesterday morning. The championship took place at International School Brunei in Kampung Sungai Hanching.
Also present was His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince's son, Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Muda Muhammad Aiman. Participating in the championship yesterday morning was the daughter of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Anak Muneerah Madhul Bolkiah. Yang Teramat Mulia represented ISB Hammerheads in five categories namely the 25-metre Backstroke; 25-metre Freestyle; 25-metre Breaststroke; 25-metre Butterfly and the 100-metre Freestyle Relay.
Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Anak Muneerah Madhul Bolkiah won gold medals in four categories, and broke the record for the 7-year-old girls category. Meanwhile, in the 100-metre Freestyle Relay, the ISB Hammerheads participated by Yang Teramat Mulia, won silver.
More than 100 swimmers representing 11 swimming clubs from local and abroad participated in the championship. The championship was organised by the Brunei Amateur Swimming Association and supported by the Youth and Sports Department.
