Bandar seri begawan: His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, has sent congratulatory messages to Her Excellency The Right Honourable Louise Arbour, Governor General and Commander-in-Chief of Canada, and The Right Honourable Mark Carney, the Prime Minister of Canada, as well as to the Government and people of Canada on the occasion of Canada Day.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the messages were part of the Sultan's diplomatic engagements, reflecting the cordial relations between Brunei Darussalam and Canada. The Sultan extended his best wishes to the Canadian leaders and expressed hopes for continued prosperity and peace for the Canadian nation.
